The board will not meet in June due to the World Cup.

The full name is the Board of Directors. Throughout this website, it may be referred to as the Board.
The board meets on the 4th thursday of the month at 10 am at Metro Headquarters on the third floor in the board room.
The Board does not normally meet in the months of August and December. The November meeting is pushed to the first Thursday in December due to Thanksgiving.
The board consists of 15 members including the CEO. There is currently one who does not vote when its time to vote.
The board sets policies, approves contracts, people on the service councils, schedule changes that Metro does every 3-6 months, and other things that might not affect us directly as riders.
In recent times, they have approved periods where Metro's services were free due to circumstances like a fire, or a specific day on the calendar like Earth Day which allows riders to experience transit at no cost.
They have also approved certain other days to be free, and the blog puts out notices of any changes on a regular basis.

Some of the board members are part of other committees that include operations, the finance and budget committee, planning and programming, and others that I may not know about.
